Default JAWADHU Terrain Exploration

Last weekend was another successful weekend for me to conduct my 3rd RECCE along with lots of like minded Jeepers from Bangalore.

In a short note, the first day was exciting for few (CJ340, Prowler and Gurkha) as these vehicles really went on finding the super terrain and power under the bonnet.

The second day was WoW factor for the trip as the Jeep Thrills big daddy Anjan took my Explorer into really thrilling stunt. My newly installed Winch came handly when my explorer got stuck big time while negotiating a steep obstacle. The Jeep got stuck because my jeep had issues in right side turning radius and as I was using 15inch tyres the height and groud clearance was not that good compare to 16inch NDMS.

There were 10 vehicles participated on the RECCE/OTR

one Gurkha
one Armada 4x4
one CJ340
two CJ3B
two Gypsy
three Mahindra Classic

I will post the pics in installment, the first batch of pictures captured by Ashwin and his uncle here in now:

These pictures were taken from Ashwin's camera (White Gypsy) and have limited pictures for the two vehicles asked. Anyway I'm awaiting for communication from other jeepers and their photographers. will post them as and when I receive them.

Wow Siva, this must have been a fantastic experience. Who all attended the event, I recognise some faces, but not all.

Nope, RECCE is not complete. Myself with Anjan will be conducting one or two more full fledged RECCE before the actual OTR.

We are targetting our actual OTR to be organised during Oct 2nd, the 1st weekend.

Gurkha is excellent. I'm impressed and Gurkha takes all my votes. My next car purchase idea from Bolero is now set on Gurkha. so I can do bit of adventures trips with my family.

Gurkha is the best as of now.

That Gurkha looks like it's having a whole lot of fun! The more I see this beast off the road, the more I like.

Looks like a CJ3B platform picnic you guys got there. Amazing pictures, keep them coming.

How long a route are you guys planning to chart out?

True, 6 out of 10 was SWB CJ3B variants.

I have done 3 RECCE and the last one's 2nd day was the tempting ground. We are still not put our jeep's shoes touched the ground. Next to Next weekend we will be conducting another RECCE before we announce the plan for OTR route.

I'm thinking roughly 5-10kms of offroad with water, slush and boulders will include in one day OTR. So with in a span of 2-3 days including travel and stay then offroad then comfortable departure could be organized for all the interested people. As of now, The start point for the OTR will be as near as 25kms from Vellore.
