My words exactly. I am eagerly watching this space for the next event in NCR.

Btw sorry if I missed this, but who owns that White "Flying" Gypsy?

AFAIK the flying Gypsy is Randeep Miglani's
He has a rally prepared Gypsy. He had done Raid earlier this month.

That is correct. However, the gypsy captured in these pics is not the gyspy which was used for the RAID. The RAID gypsy suffered a crash during the RAID (brake failure) and is currently being repaired while this is Randeep's second gypsy

AFAIK no one reported any damage.

Kevins Safari suffered radiator fan blade failure but nothing to do with OTR.

Anyone else suffered damage? Puncture?

Kevin's Safari made a huge clanging noise when barrelling up this slope.

On subsequent inspection when stopped at the base area, it was found that most of the blades of the plastic radiator fan had sheared off by hitting the bracket of the AC fan below it - possibly due to the engine moving on its mountings when he took on the rough patch at full tilt.

@R_R: I spent most of the day was spent at "Base" with Philip (on wireless) keeping tabs on how things were progressing. I had done a full reconnoitre of all area twice earlier and in Raj's Forestor a day before. There was a white GV doing the needful this day. The pictures pre-event were taken then and published with event announcement.

I did jump in to few vehicles from time to time or guide people from outside where convoy guides needed input.

Okay now about the third convoy. Lead by Raju Verma the convoy went to open ground at base of a small hill. From the pictures you can see the hill and the slope they climber. However what is not visible is that the other side of hill is a steep - near vertical - slope and you had to make a five point turn at the top right at the edge. Starting with 4x2's the others also went up one by one and tried out difference in low and high ratios. Some people did this multiple times to be satisfied.

Then the convoy moved across open undulating plain to a small "bund" and a lake about half a kilometre away. Here they went across the dam and circled around the lake. Harish was not satisfied with this and tried his Pajero at wading through. He got stuck with wheels spinning uselessly and had to be rescued. Kevin's Safari also got stuck crossing the small incoming rivulet. Pictures of all the action have already been posted.
Thereafter it was lunch at the base. Though many were too busy having fun at the main coffer dam and came in late. A quick group interaction and then every one disbursed almost to the dot at 1500hrs, the planned end!

Sudev, how about third trail blazing on 27th Dec. Its Sunday of a long weekend. The last trailblazing was a big success and the trail itself is very promising. So why not keep it at the same trail, same timing and same everything. I am sure people would like to do it again.

For one I am going to be busy, along with many others, doing the AutoCross at Greater Noida on 26th and 27th.

Second I had almost decided a new trail but a recce trip Sunday last did not turn out promising. I hope to do another recce coming Sunday and then will announce the dates for Trail Blazing #3

Hey guys, I'm game. This time I'm bringing my new Endy 4x4AT which has run in nicely. haven't ever driven a 4x4 Auto in an OTR before. Would love to do a track I have driven before to test her out before we go in for a difficult blaze the next time.
