Too bad I couldn't make it. Brought back memories of last year's Pearl Valley OTR:

Yup, and I was showing each places to Happywheels where you had trouble and the very spot your foot rest took a toss.

Btw, this time, it was even more deeper. One Gypsy had a hit at the back due to the overhang and lost the side bumper.

Wolf,

Thanks! Willys will steal the heart of every one.

It is a 4 WD. Safari wanted to first see the terrain and next OTR it will be rocking. What do you say safari boy? Hrishi's hands are itching for OTR.

Guys , keep the pictures rolling. I saw lot of shutter bugs there. Let us have a look at all the mean machines on their home turf.

If you are referring to the gentleman in the white T-Shirt, not sure who he is. If you referring to the cow-boy with the cap, then, what you are seeing in my posts, are the photos taken by him.

I would say to bring 'em on! Same spot different angle!

Absolutely! And with no vehicle that could be used for recovery - man, I started having nightmares (or are they day-mares).

Sirji - after seeing the track and the way the vehicles were pushed, especially the narrow stretch - I bow my head in respect!!!

I don't think I will put my 2 tonner thru that.

Provided recovery is there, slushing and climbing is fine, but rocks, I am running away with the exhaust between the tires!!!

Can understand some amount of running board or bumper damage, but rock and not-so-great clearance + weight, I shudder to think of the damage I can inflict!

Even then, I forgot the warning of never to follow a vehicle on an OTR track by gauging the track based on how the vehicle in front clears it! Dwarka, in the blue Gypsy, on the way back, goes over some rocks with few jumps. I thought that was the same path we came down initially and take that path. WRONG!!! It has a good amount of stones on a step elevation and the Safari's front wheels were floating and vehicle resting on running board!!!

Backed up, studied the path and took the proper one!

But then, this did help Vijay (hope I got the name right), since I was able to do the last recovery of the day, pull his Gypsy over the top of a slope, which he had almost cleared in reverse.

Not sure why no post yet. May be he is processing? Sir, are you listening?

After this, I parked the vehicle and it was on foot or hitch-hiking for the rest of the parts.

Left the camera in the Safari and missed out the grueling climb across the wild rock path. Those were fantastic shows put on by both man and machine!

After that it was rock climbing. Being my first rock climb, and that too in Vijays MM, I was left * N!!! I was waiting for the things to flip over!!! But going up was fun, coming down was even more fun!

Finally, got to the point of return and I walked back to the Safari and got the camera. The guys on the other side of the valley:

Few guys were OTR'ing in their bikes!

These guys went off looking for more challenge:
