I thought let the newbies have more fun this time. After all the offroading gang should have inflows. But I had a nice bike ride to the spot.

Default Nice Jeeps

Nishanth:
Your Jeep looks awesome, expect for the red here and there, looked a sort of everywhere but no where . Anyways, respect your liking of an army look.
Can you update your thread on your jeep's "KHAKHI" performance?

Nice looking jeeps in Bangalore, congrats for maintaining such beauties.

Jothi, how long you are going to be commentator and photographer? Is it not time to join the gang with bang?

Jaggu is already a jeeper and Rudra Sen any way has already bought gypsy from shahnawaz

Exclamation the day Rajesh nearly got run-over

How did we miss to highlight this incident. Rajesh was helping the willy's to position itself, and it decided to reverse a little too quick and run over Rajesh. Was it a case of mis-communication? Or helping from the wrong position? I was on the opposite bank and couldnt understand what happened until I saw this!!

Sunil,

Those are some lovely pics you have taken. Keep them coming.
We should do this again sometime soon. I am sure Dan will join in too.

Vinod,

that's Viji for you. Its a treat to see the different experiments he does on his vechiles, and not just with the tires.

Cheers

Nishanth

Would love to join you guys if you're doing any rides. I have a '95 Roadking which I got a couple of months ago and have just done a roadtrip to Chennai and back on her. She behaved beautifully except for a couple of minor hiccups (at the moment she's seizing at 95 km/h or thereabouts though she starts up again in 3 seconds if I just grab the clutch and then let it go again slowly... weird i know..) and I'd love to put in some more miles soon.

@All: Perhaps in the future (sooner than later) I'll be able to join you guys offroad with a jeep. One can but hope

Cheers

Rahul

Last but one Set of pics from My Cam Canon 400D with 70 - 200 F2.8 IS USM.

If any of you need the full resolution pic of your truck, please let me know.
also seem to have carried home a purple perl pet bottle cap, let me know who that belongs to & I will return the same.

@ Nishanth,

Yes we need to go there, I need to really learn lots of things about Off-road, despite the initial talk / briefing, I was too exited & reeving My Bro's Gypsy to Glory, its a nice place to learn some tricks.

Cheers
Sunil

@V16: we did a trial run at the same place week before with CJ3B, and its as simple as it gets with a hurricane engine. I just slotted the jeep in 1L and was crawling with occasional dab on the throttle. Only on the last climb from the pit, use 2L for some momentum. Machine just takes over and driver just have to point it in the right direction

EDIT: Hurricane makes it too easy, that it kinda kills the fun for the driver lol
Thanks for replying Jaggu. I just got another booster shot of confidence after reading your reply.
In the tone and style of Gabbar Singh: "Kidhar hai OTR trail, kidhar hai... Haaaaahhh??"

V-16,

If you are referring to the vehicle APJ 1298 (the last photo in post #36) it is running a XDP engine. Not sure of the exact model.

The engine has one good amount of low end torque! It has to be seen! The vehicle was running on a Hurricane, but the previous owner had got it changed.

I think the owner of this beau will make a post shortly.

MJothi,

I went there just to participate in the fun the rest of the gang was having; did not do any stunt except for that one run, which I had done a long time back and I was sure no damage will be caused. Paranoid me!

Yup, we sure did! You need to join us the next time and experience off roading riding shot-gun. I am sure you will be blown off your seat! (pun intended! )

@All,

This track will be a real killer when monsoon starts! We need to do it then!
