Devang,

Is it possible to arrange porta-toilets? I recall my company organized an off-site somewhere in Rajasthan and we had a dozen porta-toilets setup around the camp. The event organizer was Kestone I think.

Even the Mumbai Marathon had porta-toilets. This is something we should look into especially with SO MANY people in the picture. If we have to take a dump out in the open - could get messy with flowing water and loose ground.

^ Else, we could simply arrange for 3-5 of those potty-seats - basically, they're chairs, with a hole in them. Lightweight, cheap, and convenient. Easy to clean too, I would imagine.

Default Recce

As we climbed up the winding mountain roads into Sawarsai

The Extremeoffroaders Annual Monsoon Mania (EXAMM)! Maharashtra in End June-p1090495.jpg

We were spotted by some locals

The Extremeoffroaders Annual Monsoon Mania (EXAMM)! Maharashtra in End June-p1090500.jpg

And soon a formidable masked villager with a stout stick arrived and blocked our path

The Extremeoffroaders Annual Monsoon Mania (EXAMM)! Maharashtra in End June-p1090562.jpg

We tried explaining what we wanted to do

The Extremeoffroaders Annual Monsoon Mania (EXAMM)! Maharashtra in End June-p1090566.jpg

But he failed to understand why someone would take a brand new vehicle
(with temp plates) and do something like this

The Extremeoffroaders Annual Monsoon Mania (EXAMM)! Maharashtra in End June-p1090523.jpg

Devang tried explaining with little success

The Extremeoffroaders Annual Monsoon Mania (EXAMM)! Maharashtra in End June-p1090520.jpg

so we offered him a ride in orangie and finally it clicked

The Extremeoffroaders Annual Monsoon Mania (EXAMM)! Maharashtra in End June-p1090479.jpg

And he started showing us some mean trails

The Extremeoffroaders Annual Monsoon Mania (EXAMM)! Maharashtra in End June-p1090497.jpg

Which would test man and machine when EXAMM time came

to be continued...

Guys you may also like to check with the local hospitals & clinics if they have the Antivenom for the snakes usually found in that area.

Participants need not be frightened, but they need to take it seriously about wearing at least ankle length shoes and being alert while walking as there are many venomous snakes/scorpion lives in that area.

Specially Devang who is always busy in posing for the pics in his Chappals.

As I understand there are many snake bite kits are available, if any of Docs participating can carry it along, it will we great help in case of emergency.

I think we should at least arrange for this commonly use anti-venom in India
Polyvalent snake antivenom Usefule in bites of Saw-scaled Viper Echis carinatus, Russell's Viper Daboia russelli, Spectacled Cobra Naja naja & Common Krait Bungarus caeruleus
