Tentatively, around what time are you there in Munnar town?

Default GMC rescheduled to 3rd and 4th Dec

Dear All,

We would like to inform you that, GMC - Munnar has been postpone to 3rd and 4th of Dec. This change in the date is due to the some serious government meetings planned during this weekend. Hence we were asked to cancel the plan for 27th and 28th.

We are really sorry for the last minute change, we did our best to negotiate with the officials, but this was completely out of our control.

We understand the amount of planning you all would have made for this event. But we assure you the best of time as planned.

I would urge all the confirmed participants to reschedule as per the revised dates after checking your calendars and drop in a line of confirmation for 3rd and 4th Dec.

There are no change with respect to Stay / trail and location.

Please write back or call up for any further clarification.

Regards

Yes Robin,

Can understand, Things do not always Happen the way we plan/intend it to,

But we can only do what we actually can,
I have rescheduled My Valparai & Thattekad visit too, thankfully it was possible without much fuss or penalty.

Do confirm for 3rd Friday & 4th Saturday December 2010, this means that we need to report on 2nd Thursday evening at the resort right?

Thanks
Sunil

Default GMC - Called off

Dear All,

Its really hard for us to let you know that, the long awaited drive to one of the most challenging and beautiful trails in the God's Own Country had to be called off for now.

We faced some objections from the authorities for the following;
1. Cutting through the forest stretch with so many number of vehicles.
2. Back up plan in case of extreme emergency on the trail.
3. The stretch is absolutely inaccessible as its been raining very heavily for the last 10 days.

We will intimate well in advance once all these issues are settled.

Hoping to see you all soon in Munnar.

My apologies to all for the inconvenience caused.

Note:
Requesting all the participants who have paid the registration amount to send me a PM or mail me (robinsonsebastian@yahoo.com) with the account no: / bank details and address to send across the refund.

Regards

Though am sad that the event has been cancelled, i really appreciate the way you guys have been travelling all the way up and down, sometimes even between countries to get the arrangements done.

3 Cheers to the organizers for all their efforts and yes the money spent also. As they say every Rose has its thorn

Let me wait for a bigger and better event to drive down

Jaggu, Thank you mate for your kind words and appreciation. We dont want to think about the effort and money spend on the arrangements.

Yes Jaggu. Every rose has its thorn.Hope we can remove the thorn and enjoy the rose soon.

As organizer of GMC, I request the mods to close this thread. We will start a new one later if and when there is another GMC.

Once again Thank you teambhp and all of you here. We are overwhelmed by the tremendous support you have given us.
