Spike you know that is not the correct line

The space to line up was limited hence the departure angle was not ideal...but that said i walked it and did not think it would pose too much danger.

Yeah, still wanted to know because the picture may / may not really depict the level of difficulty. Hence sought for clarification from you guys, thanks!

That's the way, this is what experience is all about . For a newbie, this obstacles approach would have been pretty challenging.

Spike

PS- When are you starting recce for AKC 2011?

Anyone interested in a joint Pack of trekking ,offroading & camp ?
It will be a 2 full days thing .

What I am planning/thinking is ;

1) Max 6 vehicles

2) 10/12 people

3) day one leave Pune early , do some off roading

4) camp some where

5) do some short hike/trek at a nearby fort ( decided destination ) or take a route ( trek route )

6) back to Pune By night

Required gear

1) a good 4x4 ( Normal )

2) backpack & 2 days rations + ample storage of water cans/bottles

3) preparation for camping & stay

Additional

we will be having ready/packed food for day 1 & for day 2 it will be prepared on site .

People who have a trekking OR off roading background/experience are prefered .

I agree ( partly )

Alternatives

1) explore the whole route on foot ( foot recce ) , long enough to drain some litre of sweat ( want to do it badly )

2) parking the vehicles right at the bottom of the hill/ fort by night ,- at day 1 ( for example the fort of Rajgad ) & at day 2, start walking at wee hours , say 5 am . (Those who dont want to exert can stand Guard by the vehicles ) & come back ( descend ) to base by 12 noon , have lunch do some off roading ( short but technical ) . Return to Pune by 8 Pm

Anyways , why the offroading needs to be done in soft seasons only -- Just a thought ( 22nd of April was also some kind of fun )
