Jeepthrills - The Palar Challenge 2007 (TPC2007) - Team-BHP

Hello TBHPians,

After a successful First event in August 2006, with 20 JEEPs & 4WDs Participating.

The members of JEEPTHRILLS would like to invite all TBHPians to The Palar Challenge 2007.

This event is open to all 4WDs with a 2 Speed Transfer Case.

This is a Team Based Competitive event for all 4WDs.

Schedule -

1) 12 August 2007 - Assemble & reporting - Vellore
2) 13 August 2007 - Day#1 - Wallahjahbad - Madurantakam 50Kms
3) 14 August 2007 - Day#2 - Madurantakam - Kalpakkam 50Kms
4) 15 August 2007 - Return to respective cities

All members are requested to block their Calenders for the following dates:-

There are some minor changes in the conduct of the Event.

1) Like last year Teams will be organised randomly by picking Lots......
The Teams will Compete with each other for a Prize and a Rolling Trophy.

2) Each Vehicle can carry a MAX of 2 Participants (exception of Families with Children, and not more than 2 Adults)

3) All 4WDs must have tyres of minimum width of 7.00 inches or 200mm

COST OF PARTICIPATION - ON ACTUALS - Approx Rs2500 per Head
This Includes Accomodation and food (3x3 Meals).

Members are requested to Confirm their participation at the earliest.

Hi Guys,

Gurkha (Doc) Will surely miss the JONGA and the Gurkha on the river bed.

Pdev29 - Some of our members are driving down from Mumbai and Pune you can hook up with them. (PM me for more details)

Hello Bhpians,
We would like to welcome all TBhpians for an introductory Off-Road Event.

This event is being organised for all members & participants new to 4WDs and off-road driving in preparation for The Palar Challenge 2007.

Date - 15-07-07
Venue - Chennai (Kelambakkam 50Kms)
Time - 0700 Assemble at Ascendas IT Park.
Items to carry
1) Hats/cap & sunglasses
2) Drinking water
3) Short eats (biscuits, fruits and light sandwiches)
4) ToolKit (with vehicle specific spares)

THERE IS NO ENTRY FEE.

Today, the Palar challenge kicked off with 22 jeeps and 4x4s from all around the country participating in this gruelling 3 day event.
Im participating on tuesday as a co-driver with Headers and his trusty Gypsy King who's got new Michelin Off-roading shoes specially for this event.
