Both Bolero pick up (i think u mean camper 4wd) and invader are good off road. Depends the need for which u need it. For strict personal use invader 4wd is good due to its shorter length and small turing circle. But if u have to use it for some luggage haul camper is better. I suggest you camper 4wd the reasons being it is better built and can be a statement with magwheels A/c and 235 section tyres that come as OE. Invader comes with 185 section tyres that are horribly narrow. Further Not many people keep camper that way hence your vehicle would be great looker. Also sticker price is almost same for both the vehicles. The only problem with camper may be u cannot register it in white board. Please check out it differs from state to state. Since severe offroading is not your requirement LWB of camper will not pose much of a problem

| Where is the air intake on a Scorpio? The reason I ask is that the very first picture above seems to show the water as being a bit deep. Can a Scorpio be lifted a couple inches without major modifications? To me, the newer rear multi-link suspension with the torsion bars looks fragile in the sense that those tubes look like they could be easily snapped off by a rock or ridge. I am wondering if the old style leaf springs could be retro fitted back on and the multi-link taken off. Yeah, I know it would bring back the handling woes. It's a trade off.

| BHPian | dont worry about the toughness of the coil springs mate. rest assured, it is very durable. my CRDe scorpio has gone through the worst of the terrains (frequent visits to construction sites in remote places where roads are non-existent), driven by the worst driver (!!) who does not care a damn about potholes or ditches and still it is functioning perfecly, the way a mahindra should. no sqeaks or sounds from the suspension yet, the car has travelled 92,000 kms and thats mostly on rough terrain.
