Interestingly, Eaton India is manufacturing the domestic version of Detroit Locker known as Mlocker.

Any idea on M Locker price?

Detroit Lockers in US are priced at ~ $630.00 EA.

Hi SD,

Fitting a Locker on the Front Axle of an IFS is very difficult, as you have to dismantle the entire front assy to access the Differential, as it it bolted to the Chassis.

Are you sure the INDIAN M-Locker is the legendary Detroit Locker, I think it is the unsuccessful Eaton GOV-LOCK (G-80 Locker)

Randy's Ring & Pinion.

Regards,

Arka

How about the MM540's front? would it be the same hardship retrofit effort as compared to IFS type?

Hi SD,

It is pretty simple in case of a Solid Axle.

For the Front Diff, is a Little more complicated than the Rear Diff (FFRA).

This is due to the Steering Knuckle. It takes a bit longer, to pull out and put back the Front Axles.

Regards,

Arka

Eaton G80's are the Mlockers that are sold in GM vehicles. GM just brands the lockers G80.

All MLockers are basically the same technology wise, and they are modified to suit different axles and gear ratios

Arka Sir, et all,

After reading this discussion, I've decided to import Lock-Right Dana 44, 19 Splines.

What would be a good hub lock to import for my Classic (Stock) ? Any CJ3B compatible would do?

I have the same lockers in my CJ bought a few years ago from east coast gear supply. They work well.

These do work well. However, you dont get the option to unlock the diffs when you require. They are automatic. With slightly more money (~10k) you can get Lambda Cable Operated Manual Diff Locks, which IMO are better.

Again Lamba makes hub locks for classic. You dont need to import it. Cost is ~4.5 k.
