If parking is a problem, why not convert it into a towing vehicle? This way nobody would ever tow it away, and you could easily help out distressed vehicles during offroading.

Parking is not an issue at all. I have enough parking space and the vehicle is registered as a recovery vehicle anyway!!

My engine saw some action.
As I wanted to have on board air I procured an air compressor off a 6BT. I also had to replace the entire 4BT timing case with that of a 6BT. Got that done and fitted the air compressor, only to find the lift pump fouling with the compressor. Procured and fitted a cam mounted lift pump and blocked off the original lift pump.
The Holset hx35 turbo is also mounted and clearances are all good. I am also replacing the 4bt engine mount bracket with that of the 6BT.

From where are you able to get new parts for this Nissan engine, I understand Nissan P 60 ( Jonga ) and this 1 Tonner truck had the same petrol engine till the last few came with diesel engines, are new parts still available ?

Engine parts are still available new from remote parts shops if one looks hard enough. So are gearbox parts. Used parts are fairly easily available however.
Other parts can be procured with the right contacts though I will be upgrading the brakes and steering.
Suspension seems to be pretty much bulletproof and so are the diffs.
I need to add power steering for which I will be needing some help.

How much did the HX35 cost you brand new. Did u source it through a Holset dealer or through truck parts dealer. Thanks - Joe

Hi Beboy,

What's the PCD on the wheels for this Nissan beauty?

You might want to take a look at Hutchinson beadlocked wheels, with BFG T/A KO ATs at 40inches?

That converts to 8" PCD and 5 34 " bore dia, so it is easier to search mentioning inches.
