Arrow V drive systems (Dana) Transmission - Links shared

Dear all - few days back our friendly member James Savio Borges found a pic of a van's very unusual transmission system & posted a pic on FB .

Thanks to James , he inspired me to collect more details & here I am sharing those with you . Here are few links interested people can use to find details

This transmission is called as the Dana V drive system

Edit: BTW i dont see any advantage of this arrangement over IFS or rigid axle.

I was thinking in the same lines. Does anyone know about the advantages of such a system?

The advantages are explained in the 2nd link with a long article. Read it fully - its a great system for 4x4 sedans, to save on height and a fat front diff.

Santosh, Can u tell me what is this...!

Currently i have them with me, Brand New. Unused..

Raghav aavre - ^ a dana 3+1 GB for some old model car? I dont know of any jeeps in your project currently and its a rear output 2Wd GB, so must be a old car. Which one?

Sir it belongs to a jeep, that i know.

None of my restorations need this, if anyone is interested in this let me know.

can u check if its a t90 or a kmt90, and if t90 - which sub-series? it shd be somewhere on the body of the gb.
