Default Force Gurkha: Tyre Upsize & Lift

Hello,

I am thinking of purchasing the new Gurkha Explorer and would like to get some information on Tire Size Upgrades.

Is installing a 2" lift straightforward, and are kits available in India?

Will a size similar to 33/12.5R16 fit without needing any other modifications?

Will upgrading to a size like this negatively impact power, drive-ability and any on/off-road performance?

Thank you for help in advance!

Gurkha suspension is front coil springs right? If so finding a lift kit will be a pain. Clearance was never a big issue with Gurkha, issue was always power to weight ratio which made the hard tops handful in offroad situations.

Going one size up should not cause major issues. What is the stick size?

This depends on how much difference in circumference you are ending up with upsize, a 2% difference will not cause great drop in performance as a thumb rule.

Your best bet would be to install a body lift kit. Not suspension lift. That'll keep the dynamics in check too.

No idea.

Your gearing will go high. You will feel a loss of initial power. But, the Mahindra MDI handles it pretty well, so, the Ghurha should also cope with it. The high-speed performance will increase.

Wow that is more than +11.9% increase, gearing will surely go for a toss. On road in high speed ratio would go for a toss for sure. Not really worth it if you ask me..
