| BHPian | Try Shetty Motors. They also stock good automotive stuff or they can also order for you. |

I just ordered them from Lambda Bangalore and they were pretty prompt. Transferred the money on Saturday and they shipped it out today. Should be getting it in a few days. Details of the contact person Mr. Arun have been posted earlier but for your reference: arun dot lambda at gmail dot com Cell # 09343870011 Will really need them for the 650 Km drive for AKC/EXAMM!!! | BHPian | Hey guys , i installed AISIN free wheeling hubs for my gypsy but i have a small doubt . Imagine im running the vehicle with one wheel in lock position and the other in free position without my knowledge ,what will happen ? Will it damage the axle ? |

| BHPian | I remember reading earlier in this thread or some other thread that the hubs being the weakest link would break before any damage to the axle. Best to check on both regularly though |

| Team-BHP Support ![]() | If one hub is unlocked, it is same as having zero traction in one wheel. Since the front diffs are open, no torque will be delivered to the locked wheel. Effectively you will be in 2WD mode, no transmission wind up either. There is no damage whatsoever. Nothing to worry. |

| BHPian | I got the FWH from Lambda and had sent my jeep to a big Mahindra dealer in Ahmedabad to get them fitted. Interestingly, none of them had worked on a single 4wd Mahindra vehicle before and I had to explain the concept of FWH to them. End result after an hour of trying they gave up in spite of my sending the instructions with the hubs. They believe there's something missing. I only received two hubs with the instruction booklet. Is there anything else that the package should have contained? I need to resolve this fast as next week the jeep has to be all ready! Adi Last edited by AVR : 18th June 2010 at 11:41. |

| BHPian | Got the FWH fitted today. It was a fairly simple 10-min exercise! Drove 100+ kms after that and they make a hell lot of difference. Seriously recommend it to anyone with a 4wd. |

| Senior - BHPian | Update from Prasanna: Post Jun-10 updated price in Bangalore ~ in lieu of Steel price hike it seems. Without bill - 3000 With bill - 3650-ish Also Bangalore drop facility not available at moment due to shortage of workforce. It has to be collected from their Electronic City plant. | The left FWH in my gypsy is not able to lock properly (check the below pic). The right one engages without any problem. Tried with plier but failed to engage. What should be done for this? ![]() |
