No - not quite true - Not all izz well with the Thar AC - looks like even with the two fan setup - its matter of time / heat and the AC gives up!

Reliability is Definitely missing from the Thar AC.

I seriously think that M&M should drop the "AC Ready" tag from Thar. From all that I read on this Forum and my experience with the dealers over 3 months - it is definitely Not AC Ready !.

Marketing guys at M&M - it is only ethical to be accurate in your advertisements.

I think we here making THAR AC issue too complicated.AC is just a simple thing and our guys where fitting it from late 70s..whats so complicated in THAR CRDe, just bcas a intercooler is there in the front..

Thanks Ranjith,
I was a bit double minded as couple of people are telling me to get the scorpio a/c fitment and on the other hand the bolero a/c fitment is tried and tested on the Thar crde. Though there is a major cooling difference in both.

lets see i still have time till end of January.

How is the cooling with the soft-top, is it worth spending so much without a closed cabin ?

Cooling is excellent with theromostat engaged in 25% @ 5deg cen, with 100% engagement , ice formation observed.

I run in soft top, cooling is quiet ok in front cabin , rear i dont know as i am allways in driver seat .

Please find the switch plate i got from M&M today for accomodating green & red leds with proper set for thermostat & heater knob. Part num 0112AF0710N to be ordered.Dont know its used where.

This part num doesnt belong to THAR - 0112AN1150 NMT or Bolero slx old shape (with AC/HEATER vehicles) 01050k0490N.

Why is the ice formation observed? is it something common in all the setups and that we don't notice or is it that the thermostat engagement is not right?

Now, i had been to India Garage to check on my vehicle status and transaction details. I'm promised to a date around 10th Dec, meanwhile i also enquired about the FF AC and to my surprise they said that it has arrived and will cost around 58K. Since i was in a hurry, did not check what the components used will be

With this now again I'm in a confusion which way to take, whether the FF AC or the one from We cool.
