Trax Gurkha - As good as it gets??

Force motors has re-started selling fully loaded Gama 4x4.

Probably Gurka did not sell as expected. They probably had discontinued to sell Gama 4x4 to push the sales of Gurka.
Gurka is expensive at 9.3 lakhs onroad for a non-common rail powertrain.

I have requested for the pricing of Gama 4x4. I shall post it once I get the pricing and time taken for delivery.

I currently own a Tata Spacio Gold with Tata 407 SP engine. The vehicle is very good except for higher engine noise and poor breaking.

The fun / scare is that even when you apply breakes at 60kmh the tyres lock and vehicle just skids ahead.

It is probably a design problem.

I have almost travelled all hills in Karnataka and Kerala in this vehicle. I have also travelled inside forest in muddy areas (Silent Valley, kerala).
I had no other problems except the above explained ones'.

How do you define fully loaded? I didn't know they had stopped Gama 4x4, I think it was there, but only in BS2 without AC or PS.

If they sell 4WD Gama with AC/PS/BS3 and diff locks, nobody will buy Gurkha just for the snorkel and SWB.

Any update on when the OM611 CRDi engine would be offered on the Gama and Gurkha?

Either way, it would be interesting to know what price they quote you and what is include in that price.

Seats and electricals are included. You will find them in individually wrapped plastic bags in the rear bay.

Man give me some time... Force are not having the best in every dept...

Got it on 27th Oct. and it would take still another month to get my number. Besides that they handed me Tempo traveller 11+D insurance

or get the rear bench seat changed. Got many good points abt this vehicle.

Would be comparing it with my Safari... so as to satisfy few more people, also would bring in my experience of Scorpio which I had for 3.5 yrs and 125K kms.

BTW the turning radius is too good... better than any car I have driven!

Thanks for the update, rhandle, those alloys look great without spoiling the off-roading image of the Gurkha. Also, the tyres are really mean-looking : what size are those? How much did the tyres cost?

Wow, with those tyres the Gurkha makes the Safari next to it look tame. Yeah, what size are those alloys and tyres? What is the PCD of Gurkha?

rhandle mentioned 265/75 R 16 on the previous page. Those rear mudfaps are kind of pointless with this size.

Nice looking vehicle - are those running boards welded (as in the Safari) or bolted?

Is it just me or does it looks like the Gurkha is chewing on the Safari's bumper

? I assume the bumpers are touching or very close to each other.

Well rhandle that looks magnifiecient. I just saw a Gurka for the first time yesterday and i loved the way it looked. Only if Force markets this well. I am longing to go once to chennai to check out monster_bhp's vehicle but havent found time to do so.
The rear of this vehicle looks weird as it appears to be lil small for a vehicle of this size but cmon if there is some advantage then we can live with it.

Well does this vehicle come only in one color?
