Earlier the body shell was expensive at around 135k as it came finished in white and only needed a polishing job after fitting , now MS sells the shell in base primer and is hence cheaper.

I will put up a detailed cost list after a few days.

Docfreak - I guess there is no special additive that i can write down and you are welcome to come and take a test drive once the Gypsy is completed and make out the subtle differences from the regular rebuild jobs.
@wbd8779

One of the best ex-forces restoration on Team-Bhp I must say.. Congratulations the final out come is superb. I'm also contemplating to take the way of replacing the entire body shell. It would be helpful if you could share the part number you used while ordering for the shell, since the gypsy part book has no part number for the complete shell.

Chengappa.

Hello wbd8779
Great job on the restoration. The Gypsy looks fabulous!
Would be obliged if you could share the part number for the shell. I have a gypsy 410 and the tinker is quoting a whopping 75k for doing the tinkering and another 40k for the painting. Getting a new shell may be less expensive and a more effective way of taking care of the bodywork.
Thanks,
Ashok

The final On-Road Pics have not been posted. Neither any details of the much debated Costing part.

Request for sharing the pictures and costs, please.

Interesting Headlights. Could you post clearer pics please. Are those projectors + LEDs custom made?

Hi,

Took the gypsy for duties in the recently concluded Desert Storm 2015 . It had been parked since the rebuild , and had done less than 400kms in the past year !

A quick service and we were off . glad to report that we had no problems and it performed well .

Trying to add pics , but they just wont upload !

Hi WBD,

Can you please give details of the costs involved? Btw, Gypsy's are known for hard steering effort. Is the owner comfortable with the same?
