What gear ratios are you using now?
what was the cost involved for each mods.

Thanks guys for your encouragement.

I'm running on 5.32 crown/pinion ratio which I feel great than 4.88 and modification wise cost it not exact.
For parts alone, I think around 90k was gone and for setting new brake system, electrical and mechanical works another 22k. Then for body works around 7-8k was given.

Now after the last run I'm having serious problem with steering system and turning radius of my jeep and so right now in parts collection for next set of mods.

What is your top end speed currently with 5.32?
I hear top end and kmpl is drastically reduced.

I also came to know about that before making the upgrade but it turned out to be quite good mod, as I'm running with my stock XD3P engine, speeding above 80 kmph is not pleasant, only bigger sound. Had experienced running speed of 4.88 ratio from Hosur to Salem NH- not as we expect. And now with the change I am not able to make any drastic impact or even to marginal level as I travel at max 80-90 kmph on road. But this makes good addition in Off road situation. Can stop at middle of a 40 degree climb and continue from there without any fuss.

After attending the event, found that the current steering system and jeep himself don't like to make sharp turns, only cozy wider turns are applicable to him. So for all those sections where turnings came, we lost lots of time but didn't let the recovery to help us. This was the beginning of another story.

Thus got completely down with just casual rounds around my locality with jeep to have some warm up session. In between I met a couple of -BHPians at Tonico Cafe - Jijo Joy [XtremeTorque] and Naveen Raju [naveen.raju]. We expected more to join us but realized it was just three of us making mini meet a nano meet.
Few images of jeep after a minor repaint.

Hi guys,

It was long time since I've updated in my thread here. And now to report the sad news. I sold my jeep. Yes, after having little or no time to look after, I've to part with him and is now in the hands of another BHPian - alphadog.

Few pics of the jeep before the last call.

My friend Mr. Sreekumar [left] handing over the documents on behalf of me as I had to leave out of state, to the new owner Mr.Vinod [right]. It's now his turn to ride with the action.

May be if circumstances all join hands again, I'll be having another thread here about some new adventures. Let's hope good
