The mad lunatics at Arctic Trucks have created yet another monster. A 6x6 based on latest Toyota Hilux platform. Coming from a brand like Arctic Trucks, I am sure this is like stuff of wet dreams to many. Merc G63 6x6, I have now replaced you as one of my dream vehicles with this beast. :)

This Hilux AT44 6×6 Arctic Truck has a whole expandable cabin on its loading bay.

3.0L diesel engine with 171 horsepower, an enormous 550L fuel tank and massive 44×18.5×15 tires. The carrying capacity of this truck is 2000kg.

Have a look..

Won't the turning radius be negatively impacted by those wide tyres?

I feel in the artics, turning radius wont matter because there is space everywhere and no traffic at all:)

I am guessing, they aren't really meant for road use. Artic or the arid areas where they are going to be used, turning radius shouldn't be an issue.

But you are right, with such large wheels so close to the body, turning radius takes a big hit.

Slightly off topic:
6x6 seems to be the rage these days. Came across Hennessey's Ford Raptor based 6x6.

And Jeep based 6x6. G-Patton's Tomahawk

Although not a 6x6, but I saw these Arctic trucks/vans in Iceland last month. They were scarily humongous and they do have massive road presence !

I must admit, it was scary to see one of these pop up in the rear view mirror all of a sudden. :D

In a couple of pics, I am posing with a Ford F150 Superduty. My 6 feet 2 inch frame looks puny in front of the towering truck. I wonder how intimidating the 6x6 Arctic trucks would look. lol:
