Default Body Work

Hi Everyone,

Still have not been able to visit the workshop in Jaipur and doubt if I would be able to visit this weekend too.

Anyways the work that has been done as off 19.May.09 is as follow's.

1. Left side of the jeep has gone through a denting process in which the border has been removed and made flat. Left side 'D' shaped wheel arch has been changed and made into a 'U' shaped wheel arch. The pics will make the statement more clearer.

2. The right side of the jeep will go through the same process.

3. Side fenders have been sent to the press and should be back by Monday evening.

4. Bonnet and mudguards have been extended.

5. The front bumper design finalized and will go to the press by Monday.

6. After points 1 to 3 are completed the Jeep will be reassembled, shafts fitted and then it shall be test driven to check for shaft vibrations and other adjustments that would need to be made.

Here are some pics sent by my cousin brother in Jaipur.

Cheers !!!!!!!

Randeep

Hi Randeep,
i am trying to install wrangler JK rims in my Gypsy King, and the hub does not match the bolt spacing for the alloys. can you provide some more information/pictures of the plate you got done for your alloy wheels on the jeep.

thanks

Hi Guys,

Yesterday I managed to visit the workshop and was a bit disappointed as work had stalled when Mamaji was out for a week. As of now the wheel arches are being fitted. I have been told that the Jeep would be done by end of this month by all means.

Here are some pics of the work being done.

@ Sir Alec - The alloys are "HR"

Cheers !!!!!!!!!

I was expecting the vehicle to be in delhi by the mid of this month...

Anyways these things take time, but you vehicle is being done much before I started mine too. Maybe 7 or 8 months and counting
And the engine was not even touched! But I think that you vehicle is being doneup at one of the best places and at the end will be marvel. So hang in there buddy!!!

DO you think that you'll have it before the Jaipur OTR???

Sure is taking a long time but then again you are getting a top quality job. The arches look very good, no sharp diagonals but nicely rounded around the wheel arch.

Is the 469 ready yet ? Please take some pics next time you are in Jaipur.

Hi Ram,

Well I have finalized the colour but not planning on putting a metallic colour as the vehicle is being built solely for offroading. I have decided on a shade of Maroon with black wheel arches.

I must say its good to know people are awaiting my Jeep in its new avtaar, and suggestions are always welcome.

Cheers Ram !!!!!!!!!
