Thanks Harjeev / JeepCaptain.

My dad was in Jaipur whole of last week as there was a problem with the rear leaf spring setup as the rear tires could not be aligned. Finally it has been sorted out. Now the Jeep is being put together for paint. The fittings will also start in a day or two.

Cheers !!!!!!!!!!

Randeep, when do you expect it to be complete. It is going to be near 29-30 Aug weekend or gonna take more than that.

Harjeev, i would suggest to keep one extra day for an OTR in the morning and we can go to Chokhi Dhani in the evening.

Also it would be safe to have company on highway as it would be a newly rebuild vehicle.

Yogesh buddy!!!
I might have to opt out of this one as both my vehicles are in the workshop and I do not want to do a haste job in hurrying them up!!!

Spent a long time reading this thread from start to finish - must say I have to admire the care and attention to detail displayed at every stage of this build. Do you have the power and torgue figures for that Izusu 2.4? Apologies if you've already posted it somewhere.

Well worth the waiting, looks like it is getting a superb finish at your uncles workshop.

What dashboard are you using? looks very smart. Have you checked it does not interfere with your gear levers?

Any photos of the 469?

im lovin it!

well i have to say this with a heavy heart>> those indicator slots on the fenders in the front dont look nice with the over all look of the vehicle.

maybe after the vehicle is completely finished, they might look good!

rest of the vehicle ROCKS!!

Hi Satnam / Parm,

@Satnam - I totally agree, the Jeep's coming up really well. I was earlier going for a shade of maroon but then did not want to to stand out during offroading and at the farm hence chose this particular colour as its different. The dashboard that I have installed is the Bolero dashboard, only a few modifications are done on the sides. The stereo console above the gear levers will be unscrewed as its not required, once that is done the gear lever will be bent slightly.

The Uaz is standing in the workshop as suitable tires were not available. But now Hummer run flat (Good Year Wrangler RT 36x12.5) tires will be donning the Uaz. The Uaz will be on road by November.

@ Parm - The indicators on the fender was a new mod incorporated by my Uncle. I was totally unaware of the same, but he says it would look goond once its complete.

I am attaching a few pics of the Run flat tires and also of the indicator on fender design that the uncle has copied.

Cheers !!!!!!!!!!

Randeep
