Default Two of a Kind

One for the family one for me.

To the purists ignore the Bolero.

Hey Spitfire,
As far as i remember, you've mentioned that the Classic is close to 10 years old. It still looks so pristine and neat. Yet, you are looking for a 550?
Oh yes, Thanks for sharing these pictures. I can keep drooling at it
Cheers,
Deepak

This pic is almost a year old. I found it yesterday while going through some pics on the HDD.

Yeah its a 99 model. Pristine? The hot afternoon goan sun shining off the chrome and the freshly washed Jeep's must make it seem like that.

The wheels are rusting, the bumper was bend(offroading) hammered back in shape. The seats after the disaster in Bangalore no longer look original. The crash guard was bend forward(towing gone wrong) pushed back in place. The rear door dosent open. There is no rear seat. The engine needs a overhaul. The front extra lamps vibrate and cant be taken off unless i cut them out(rust). Suspension is shot. The steering failed and now has a jugaad unit from a TATA 207. Dont ask me why....

It is with my friend in Goa who takes care(well...) of it and has a small garage of his own.

The MM 550 is better This goes on sale when i get one.

And thanks for appreciating. It really isnt in the best of conditions though. Pictures dont always tell the truth.

motocamp,
I have always liked your jeep. Looking at the tilt angle in the picture and also the suspension lift i feel you need wider axles of the new MM550 XD to make it safer and utilize the advantage of complete articulation. Have you put longer shocks? Which brand?

I am a poor man with too many hobbies and passions to do justice to them all

so i guess i will have to make do with the current setup for a while, but trust me i do justice and use whatever i have to the fullest.

Hey Rohan, Nice willys you have there. Why the different tyres in R & L in front?

I need to learn this from you. I saw some videos of your jeep in youtube. Truely you are using the way it is meant to be used i.e Off road!
