Before I bought the 207 I considered this one but the engine is a bit low on power (has the old Sierra engine)

Parm I heard that M&M will offer a new engine in the 550 for the army. I am assuming it may be a CRDi. Really don't know.

well well if MM is offering the CRDe to army, then its ok. offering the same engine to the civillians is not a commercially viable idea for MM as they just offered it in bolero.....so it will take years before we see 550 with CRDe!

maybe you can wait for tata xenon!

It could also be the MDI3200 turbo. Whar are the chances that they will install a difficult to field service CRDI on an army vehicle?

DKG, here is something for you to bite on. Mahindra Classic 4x4 for sale. Yeah, I know the chrome bits don't look good. But they can always be taken off. Fetch her for a good price and its a heck of a 4x4 project.

Have Mahindra stopped doing the Souvenir they advertise on :

Do you have to supply them with your own base model and then pay them lakhs to spice it up ?

yes its true.....you have to buy a major and hand it over to MM to spice it up along with around 2 lakh rupees! 45-60 days period!

That whole spicing is in the looks department, and nothing to do with offroading.
