Thumbs up

krishnathanthri, excellent paint job/restoration. The black paint in select places is a killer combo with the beatiful red all around. What colour is the sof-top going to be?

Take a long screw driver and insert into lever slot and push the gear latch into position. Put back the lever and press lock. It should work now. If not get mechanic to do it.

We all have experienced this problem.

I have posted pics of the above steps here :

This is a DIY, but you need 1 star screw-driver and 2 very long standard-type screwdrivers (and some patience) to be able to do this.

@Krishna, It was nice to see your Gypsy in person and the short drive. The paint work & other ancillary work like soft top, back open area etc are very good. Shows your passion & commitment to your Gypsy.

Do get some of the minor issues sorted out and you are all ready to enjoy your Gypsy. I just worry about the paint getting scratched in OTR's -- that's a surety.

Just went through the entire thread man!

The outcome is very nice. You are lucky to get your work done from the garage in few months atleast. There are people who take years to do the same.

Congrats again! Have a blast
