Any ways the latest updates are very interesting as I tried my level best to restore my gypsy, but being out of town for long periods and having no contacts with good mechanics, it was almost impossible for me to restore it. One day I took it to mass for its four wheel shaft problem and the lady luck smiled on me .
There was a brand new Gypsy King Dec-2009 unregistered parked over there, out of curiosity i inquired about the vehicle and was told that someone booked it last year and did not took the delivery. they also came up with an offer if i was interested they can give it to me for 5.25L..

After a lot of negotiations i came up with a very good bargain:-
1> Price of vehicle 5.10L
2> New insurance & RTO done
3> Music system installed
Would be uploading pics of my new one very soon
Kool , waiting for you to upload the pictures. Which color is it??

Well now about the old one
I'm unable to restore it though I have huge plans for the oldie but lack of time and not knowing proper mechanics, it is almost impossible to rebuild it right now.

PROBLEMS WITH OLDIE:-
  1. I’ve taken it to MASS also but the 4 X 4 problem is still there. After alot of thinking and experimenting they came up with a suggestion to change the 4 wheel gear box [which they don’t have in stock]
  2. The engine gets overheated very soon.
  3. The steering rod also needs to be changed.
  4. The wiring also has lots of problems.
I’ve already spent a a lot of money on this vehicle. Can anyone suggest what and where to be done? I have no problems taking it to Mumbai & Pune also.

Some picks of oldie too:

My suggestions to your probs in bold
  1. Iíve taken it to MASS also but the 4 X 4 problem is still there. After alot of thinking and experimenting they came up with a suggestion to change the 4 wheel gear box [which they donít have in stock] - Do check at Mayapuri, you would be surprised at their T-case collection
  2. The engine gets overheated very soon. - Check your radiator, it may be clogged
  3. The steering rod also needs to be changed. - Order with MASS or ask other t-bhpians close to your city for help
  4. The wiring also has lots of problems. - This is the worst problem of the lot (in my opinion) There are 2 solutions to this - try and buy a new wiring kit or get a local car electrician home, strip your wiring and check for faults - this involves removal of your dash and all.
PS - PM sent

thanks Ajay.
I've brought this gypsy from mayapuri, & going back there is not possible as it is far from Indore.
in the meanwhile i'm hunting for a proper guy who knows Gypsy & 4X4's.

I want to get through the mechanicals first than start the mods.
