Hi Sam,

I think so since the wish list has gone one way and the production has gone the other way

The issues like GC, FFRA, IFS are the main cause and ofcourse the expecting price (600K plus) also a matter for a Jeep.

I'm re-thinking now and will wait for an NGCS disposal by Army.

The THAR will definitely come to the market. I guess the homologation and other issues with the government [apparently it is BS 4 complaint] authorities is taking its own sweet time.


The time for a product to hit the market after its initial perception at Auto Expos is generally 6 to 12 months.

I'm not a hard core offroader like many here but things that I definitely like are LSD and FFRA. And a hardtop with A/C. Hardtop is not a deal breaker but A/C might be as it will be my only vehicle for both long distance highway commutes as well as OTRs

@Milecruncher if you have an option of upgrading it to an AC what would you say, because the Thar displayed in Auto expo and Bangalore OTR did not have an AC, but it was capable of being upgraded to AC. I believe you want AC as a factory fitted option right?
