What do you think?
Imran, I want to retain stock setup as it will never have more than 2 passenger so having rears CFL's will not make much of a difference.

I always thought Rear CFL's madea difference to the overall ride and handling, irrespective of whether you're carrying passengers in the rear..

Anyway, I'm running 215 BFG AT's.. very nice tyres for OTR's - for highway runs, not THAT good! I find that they don't grip the road too well. But then, I've never used any other tyres on a gypsy, so I don't know how other tyres would perform..

Edit: Oops.. looks like we're getting a bit O/T..

@Imran - since I wil be doing most of my running on the highway, I need to take a call to either go BFG or Yokohama. KSM is positive that for my running, the Yokos will be the better tire. Reading your post above is now swinging me in favor of the Yokos.

I think it all boils down to how I feel about it on the day I take delivery.

A few videos of my new Gypsy:

And

re-posting from another thread just so this thread stays on-topic...sort of

Just a last one off topic question. What tyre pressure are you running for your tyres? I've got the same and was inquisitive about it. The rating that Maruti suggests is unloaded 20PSI both rear and front and loaded 26PSI in the rear and 20PSI in the front. A little speedy reply would be greatly appreciated as I'm going with these tyres for the first OTR tomorrow.

Regards,

Anirban.

Hi Anirban,

I run these tyres on 24psi unloaded, front and rear..

Although, some people go for 20-21psi, as this pressure cushions the ride a great deal..

Try 24psi for tomorrow - should be pretty good. & have fun!

Thanks buddy. Well I was late in reading this and already got it to 20PSI on each one. It's definitely soft now. Will let you know how it goes. Going on very loose sand tomorrow, Infact into the same track where the first stage of desert storm took place this year.

Regards,

Anirban.

Haan, for sand, i suppose lower pressure is always better, since it increases the contact patch (i hope im right!)..

Have fun!

Shibu, that top looks beautiful on the red gypsy!! Man I miss that soft top. It had far lesser drag than the standard OEM one. You reminded me the trips to Corbett with the open roof top.

Regards,

Anirban.

P.S: I see you still have that sticker on that hood. That's some effort of keeping things safe.
