Whoa, a true CLASSIC! I am as fond of the Patrol as I am of the Landcruiser 80 series. One of the most under-rated luxo 4x4s. I like the way it's done up...very tasteful & purposeful.

Key question livyodream : Did it perform well on this OTR? Was it driven by a skillful type?

One word, BRILLIANT!
Akaash, Nice pics buddy!
Me and Jaggu froze after seeing the torque in that machine.
Very desirable vehicle.
Cheers,
Deepak

@Pramod & Renegade, This vehicle is owned by a Bangalore Offroader. His name, i am not very sure. So, maybe Akaash could comment.
@GTO: It performed brilliantly!

The patrol belongs to the same offroading family that regularly brings those awesome bunch of bumperless Scorpios on mud tyres, and sometimes Endeavors to the Bangalore events.

@prmd_cochin :1St of all, its not my patrol (Wish it was mine). I had posted this in BLR imports and someone moved it to a new thread.

@GTO : Yeah it performed very well. I did not see it getting stuck anywhere, not even in the slush. It is one heck of a machine. Massive presence. Tyres are to die for. Starters should be knowing about it isnt it, deepak ? I was following and taking pics all throught the trial.

BTW for all who doesnt know, this beast had participated in Annual OTR hels last minth in BLR.
Thread for the same :

Would give anything to see such a timeless machine in action. Thanks for sharing!

Default More Nissan Patrol Pics

While we are on the topic of Nissan Patrols, I thought I would add a few pics from when I took my Nissan Patrol (now sold) to the Palar River bed with the Chennai Jeepthrills crowd.

Tini, somehow your Patrol appears lot tamer compared to the Bangalore Patrol which looks lean and mean. Is it just the tyres and the lift?

All i can say is that the Patrol is a MONSTER! It just crawls and crushes anything thrown at it. Without any fuss whatsoever! In between the battery cable came lose, a small squeeze, and she went about demolishing the trail.

She got scratches all over, on that shiny metallic blue shade.

Which brings me to an interesting observation, thorns were brutal with metallic clear coats. While the solid colors survived without much harm.

Older round headlight model sure looks classier compared to the new gen ones.

YES and YES GTO. Tanzeem is a fine driver and I was behind him most of the time to notice how gentle he was with the car. I really liked the way he was careful to not damage the car and yet effortlessly handled most obstacles. The articulation is a delight to watch, not to miss the sheer grunt of that torquey six
