Driving down the vehicle from Assam will cost close to 18-19 K for fuel. registration cost etc etc and on that the vehicle cost. Buying a vehicle in Bangalore will make more sense IMO.

I have an ex-Army '99 MG myself which i converted into an MPFI and have already invested 300k plus in it. Per me, 1.6L for a 2000 model running MG413W from a reliable source is definitely a very good price.
Congrats Dragonlord, and welcome to the fraternity.

Old vehicles can be registered in metros. Rest of your queries have been asked and answered before - you can just look at starter/desmo/my own threads.
