^^Wow, great, you should have told this to the ANHC owner, he might have offered you to reimburse the partial cost of New Ironman suspension becasue if not for Ironman he might be looking at a huge body shop repair bill.

Nice thought...except he would have night mares thinking of how his new ANHC would look post being rear ended by a Pajero

Anyway, Ironman saved the day & THAT is the moral of this story

The Pajero got it's much needed Wash & Scrub today. So while it was on a lift. I thought it may be nice to get some pictures of the underbody, as also the new suspension parts !!

The suspension parts are clearly visible. The front & rear shockers, the coil springs & the torsion bars.

Was quite delighted to see a squeaky clean undercarriage. No damage anywhere, so far !

@Ricky, what a beauty your car is! The undercarriage looks to be in mint condition. I recall reading this thread early on and thinking that you were taken for a ride, the owner having peddled you a brand new car for the price of a second hand one

Hey, i'd appreciate if you can point me in the right direction. There is a '98 SWB come up for sale and I need some advice / checklist on what to look for in terms of health of the vehicle.

once again, congrats. Your car looks great and I am sure rides even better.

Do accept my apologies for the late reply. I recently sold a 98 Pajero, which had EVERYTHING right with it.

You need to look at the 4x4 in all modes.....everything needs to work like a charm. It did in mine. Drive shaft couplings, clutch, general health of the engine (they easily last 2-3 lac kms) rust on the bodywork, electricals (not a big deal though) suspension - cost a fair amount.

Best of luck with your find

Cheers

@Ricky, thanks pal for the tips. It was a sweet one the '98 I looked over - I particularly have a thing for SWBs
Had to let it pass. The amount of rust in the engine bay was a deterrent, not to mention the asking price. Them Pajes do keep their value don't they!

Got Hella Micro DE Projectors for the Pajero, they will be fitted in the space provided for the fog lamps in the bumpers. So the look will remain OE, but the lighting would increase tremendously.

Also got Hella Wiper Blades for the front as well as the back windshields. The quality is brilliant.

Will post some pics of the lights once I get them installed.

Cheers

UPDATE :
Hopefully tomorrow the Pajero will get the Hella goodies fixed as well as a well deserved oil change, oil filter & diesel filter change.

Have almost touched 5000 kms since I got the oil change, hence the routine maintainence

cheers

The stock ones are not projectors. There is a huge difference in dissipation of light. Mine were fitted during morning hours, so the focus could not be done properly, it is not what it should be. Will get the focus corrected, then post night pics from inside the car, that will give a fair idea of the effectiveness

Am waiting for an update from you Ricky on the performance of those Hella DEs. I have been mulling over a similar change for quite some time now in addition to getting the headlights replaced with these Car Head Light for PAJERO - Detailed info for Car Head Light for PAJERO,head light,Car Head Light for PAJERO, on Alibaba.com. Will use Hella projectors instead of the stock ones in these chinese lights.

Cheers.

Well the projectors have very good light dissipation but the mounting brackets will need to be custom made, as fitting on the OE ones is not giving proper focus. So either I will get the brackets made or go back to stock..will then add a pair of 550 comets on the nudge bar..

Cheers

Ricky,
To be honest an excellent thread on the trusted pajero, really keen to lay my hands on one of them 92 Liters gives you an amazing distance between pit stops again. How is the stability of vehicle once you are above 140Kays, would she rocking or pretty much a clean drive? Also what would you state as the differences between the 98 model & the one that you acquired which appears to be an Indian Release?
PS: Looks like your old pajero is for sale in Mumbai

Thanks ..in the real world the 92 litres would take you around 800 kms or so. The stability of the vehicle is great, I have never driven it above 122 - 135 kmph, stability was no problem, as long as the suspension is in good shape.

The Pajero I have now is a 2008, yes it is Indian Made. The 98 is indeed for sale in Mumbai...

Cheers
