Bala,

You have landed up in my territory????

Great pic. of your Jeep and the cart in the foreground.
'Malalela Theertam' is in a quiet flow. Surely you must have a great time, nothing can compare to the combination of Nalamalla in a Jeep, the Jeep looks like a part of the landscape.
Regards.

I am sure you will own it one day all that you need is true passion, knowledge and you will be a proud owner one day, till then you are welcome to drive mine when you are in my town Hyderabad.

@Beetle_boy thanks, no no I don't consider myself as a photographer yes would love to become one day this is just a beginning. Thanks for the encouragement.

Ahh Chanu Bhai strikes again! (btw i didnt know Bala was your name!!)
Amazing pictures !! and the willy is just amazing.
No more words!

P.s Off record i have seen the short bonnet willy's where the headlights dont protrude out of the bonnet, It really gives the jeep a different look. Maybe you can have a look at it.

Thanks Acclero, thanks for the appreciation, the jeep you are talking is Willys MB which looks similar to Ford MB but has few differences. My brother loves this model a lot.

Exactly what i had seen and the look is amazing. I guess the Bantum also has a similar looking front, but the MB is just Drool-Maal

The old engine was good enough but the over heating of engine got into my nerves, max 10-11 Kms that's it temperature 110 degrees, checked radiator found it to be weak hence changed with 3 line heavy duty radiator and over heating problem subsided and was HAPPY meanwhile rattling noises started increasing couldn't do much because the head is weak, can't change only the head so decided to change the engine, luckily got a 99 Peugeot which came from a Govt auctioned vehicle the engine was untouched and we re built it with new sleeves, rocker arms, nozzles, oil pump and all the possible parts from heaven and earth and now engine issue is soughed and again felt HAPPY.

It's been just a couple of weeks the engine is done and starting trouble begun, vehicle getting off as if there is no diesel then got to know the filters are clogged so replaced them and thought finally HAPPY but after two weeks the issue came up again this time got to know that the filters are not sucking diesel efficiently so electronic fuel pump is installed and finally...finally HAPPY & this time for sure HAPPIES. Pictorial feast will commence shortly.
Hey Chanu Bhai,

Sorry for starting up your old thread! But wanted to share some news with you! I finally bought an MM540 Jeep! .. The thing is i remembered you telling me about the heating issues and My jeep to has similar issues the temp runs off to 110-120 after like 10-15 mins of driving, i havent been to a mechanic yet! Any pointers as to what i should check for before going to a mechanic or expect any bad news from him!

Congratulations on you buy, even I am planning to get one 540 after I give away my Willys.

The heating problems can be for several reasons.

Basic checks:

1. check the radiator
2. check if the water body is pumping well
3. check if the fan is appropriate and the belt is tightened
4. replace the hose pipes if hardened

If the above all is right and still the problem persists

1. check if Head gasket is gone.
2. check for the water lines in the head
3. sometimes the temp meter may also be faulty

The most important the "mechanic" find one who is real good in the business.
