Thumbs up Got Bohemian (GYPSY) - What should be the color?

Hi Friends

I would be having the Gypsy in my Hand today. Bought it on 25th Jan 2011.

It is 2004 model civilian Gypsy. This Gypsy is going to be used by my wife and as you know has been christened as Bohemian - meaning "wanderers, adventurers, or vagabonds"

Now since it would be driven by my wife I want it to be a girlie looking car - Pink, purple or something like that. Even white with Pink flowers would do. Searching for few images but of no use till now.

Total Yellow and Red are out of question - any help, suggestion is most welcome.

The work has been done by Auto Attitude - will update on the work done once I get the work list done from them.

Regards

IMO keep the gypsy stock. just add some graffiti.

BTW some pictures of pink mahindra cj340 for reference.

If you search the net you can buy decals which you can stick on. Gives it the individuality that appeals to her

Congrats on the purchase. Would actually suggest you to keep it stock in colour. It is white I suppose. Avoid colours like pink and so on, as it can draw unnecessary attention, and considering a lady is going to be driving it.

Instead, keep it white, and you can add some very basic decals to give it a retro feel, but go do up the insides nicely, with probably velvet carpets, velvet on the dash and roof and so on. That will feel more special

Thanks all.

Once I saw a picture of a SJ413 being driven by a group of ladies, with pink flowers on it, or something very similar. That day it just came out in single search and now I have tried all permutations and combinations that picture is not coming up :(

Anyways waiting patiently right now for the Bohemian to arrive - it should be with us now any minute!

Gypsy is a macho vehicle and a wrong choice if you were looking for a girle car.
Not to mention pink and purple will kill the resale value.

Keep a flashy color and do decals to make it look gal'ie. Don't go with pink i have seen one and it WILL NOT suit the vehicle, even your better half will kick you for that

sir
i am adding my thoughts for what they are worth. first a lady in a gypsy - that's cool !
whats is she saying?
i am as good as any man !!! ( correct me if wrong )
her ride
DO NOT make it obviously girly, like pinks , greens etc
( what if you want to take it out to the mall one day - you will risk a "dostana" situation )
make it silver or gold
some decals/graphics that show her femnine side
not a hint of weakness
happy designing

Congratulations Rahul! So, finally it happens, eh?
Do you plan to install some power steering, AC n stuff into it?
If not, I kinda agree with MPower 'coz my wifey complains of the hard steering. She finds it difficult to manoeuver inside city.
I've seen one pink Gypsy, incidentally driven by a lady. It was in Hunder, at Leh. I think i have a picture of it too. I shall post it tomorrow.
Cheers,
Deepak

Not any Red but the Hyundai i10 Red with its subtle hint of pastel shade will look good IMHO

Cheers

Just put some light shade swirls on both sides ,bonnet and a clean velvet interior. And a set of cute alloys, tyres with simple thread pattern .

Sorry bro, whenever I see Gypsy standing besides my Gurkha, Fortuner or safari it looks girlie. Anyways choice of my wife she says Gurkha / fortuner look too macho for her!

GYPSY can never be a macho vehicle from my perspective but more of feminine - it's sleek and cute as per me.

We are thinking on these lines as well, and as DKG said we are searching net for Decals.

I wont be driving it much, am happy with my vehicles, and as well picked a Contessa on that day for self. That were two cars purchased in 3 mins. Thanks to Harjeev, and Aman of AA.

Friend besides my wife, my six year old is partner to the crime. I have at least been able to save the Gypsy from Barbie Onslaught

Deepak it was bound to happen. Drove it today first time, but there are so many things I do not like about Gypsy, but my wife likes everything about it, especially the sound after the headers has been done. In fact have got changed everything, to keep nothing to chance. Got the headers done, racing sprinleafs, all bearing, bushes, seals changed, all belts changed, steering box, clutch, water-pump, axles, shaft replaced.

Now just the color and then accordingly interior.

Vehicle would be only driven during winters with soft top removed so no a/c.

What makes you think , a Pink gypsy will be driven around town by your wife.

Pink is a Girlie shade agreed. But a pink Gypsy would be more gayish than girlie

Why dont you do up the gypsy in White, add headers, interiors with some nice Black leather , some nice fat alloys and tyres.

On the other note : Its your gypsy, you decide best.
