Now if thats not a big deal, we have an Ambi back home thats approximately done 30lakh/km since 1965 and still has the old steering column but had its engine replaced couple of times. But the dam thing never needed tinkering or body work. Apart from the engine and the bearings I dont see much change.

The point here is not about how the cars running even though she's old now. There are lacs of padmini's in Mumbai which are double the age and still running.
The point is getting to keep the beauty and appreciate it after being close to loosing it. We got it repaired for a new lease of life. That's what the thread is all about.
