Which dealer in Bangalore are you referring to? Yesterday I visited Pratham Motors, the waiting period he quoted was: VDI - 8 months, LDI - 5-6 months and for the petrol SWIFT 2-3 months.

About the accessories, there was a nice article in the whatcar magazine about factory fitted Vs the after market fitments. The difference between VXI and a LXI + after market accessories, if I remember correctly, resulted in a savings of about 17K. Having said that I not sure whether you can fit Internally adjustable ORVM's in the after market.

I would say go for the LDI and use the money saved on a nice set of Alloys.
