Dwn South, the most common engine for an ambassador was an imported used isuzu engine. 4FB1 1800 cc, 4fc1 2000 CC (SAME AS THAT ON THE HM CRS) 4FC1 TURBO. 4FD1 2200CC AND 4FG1, 2400 CC 78 BHP. The engine can be mated to the India Iauzu gearbox, a direct fit. Spares are easily available.
