Hello All,

I am from Bangalore, just entered my 30s, been married for 2 years. Will be posting a thread for advice on child car seat in a couple of months - will search before posting :-) Did my engineering from one of the IITs (when there was not so much hype), working as a freelancer in IT industry. Lived in Hyd, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai before settling down in Bangalore.

I like doing carpentry and sewing in my free time – elementary stuff. I am an RIY (repair it yourself) freak – plumbing, electrical, electronic, etc. I enjoy music - nagumomu ganaleni Tyagaraja composition is the current favorite, movies - DVDs only no theater stuff, killbill-2 is the current favorite and comics like Peanuts and Calvin & Hobbes. I like long drives and my wife likes them real short, so we just take a flight - so my only long drives are behind a slow-motion auto.

I am not a car enthusiast but I like to know ‘how-stuff-works’ especially something as integral to our lives as a car. This forum has been a fantastic source of information and I have been a regular here ever since I found it (googled.) I am not exaggerating when I say that this forum is a wonderful example of internet democracy in India - thanks to the founders and the moderators.

I own a Corsa, a Laura and a thinkpad all in black. They appeal to the engineer in me I guess. Thanks for reading.

And now, if there are any questions, I'm here to answer them. Just kidding ;-)
