Hi all,

Another update at 300km:

Performance:
Brakes feel a bit soft but grabby when pressed hard. May need some running in. I note that the advice is to brake gently but in Bangalore traffic gently is not an option sometimes!
Engine not very rev-happy but quite torquey in the mid-range. Will happily potter along at 20/25 km in third and at 40km in fourth. This is with 50% AC and with only me in the car though. Noted an irritating boomy resonance at 2000 rpm which seems to be inherent with the car. Can get used to it but sounds irritating in city traffic where you spend a lot of time at that rev range.
Ride is very very comfortable. Potholes are dealt with quite well as are speed breakers (only me in the car though!). Suspension is quite effective over rough . Handling is reasonable although there is a fair amount of body roll if taking corners at higher speeds.
FE still a mystery as I filled up on 30 July and have used up only about 70% of the total so far.
Interiors are stunning! I have the Base model but still feel that the interior quality is a class apart. One issue is the reflection off the beige strip on the dashboard but I can live with it (I think!) Seats are great. Good bolstering and general quality of seat fabrics used is up to the mark.
Exteriors are stunning too. My Black Aveo turns more heads than most similar cars due to the colour (makes the car look regal and imposing) as well as the general looks of the car itself. From the front it looks much larger than it is while the 'afterburner' style rear lights are excellent. From the side, the true size of the car is revealed and it looks a bit stubby with the relatively short boot length.

Overall, extremely pleased with the Aveo and looking forward to a lot of happy motoring to come!
