The body style of Chrysler definitely improved after the German connection, don't know about the quality.

I had a new 1998 Chevy Malibu for 2.5 years, it was an excellent car for the money. Had very small niggles, but was taken care of by the service ASAP. I paid $400 in advance for the GM Smartcare service. I didn't pay single for service/repair in the entire ownership of the car. I voted for GM.
