Folks,

it is also not recommended to leave the fuel tank to bottom out before you refill. This is because -

1. Lower FE if you have fuel less than half tank (Due to more evaporation )
2. Lot of dirt would get into the fuel pump and into the engine
3. You run the risk of fuel tank scaling/rusting faster.

So fill the tank up and do not worry about low fuel indicator. I always refill before 1/4 tank.
