Hello all,
After a lot of reading on this forum I am thinking to go for a monoblock amp the can power my 12" Sony sub (300W RMS / 1000W Max) in my Alto.
Currently I am using a Sony XM-552ZR 2 channel amp that produces (only) 130W RMS @ 4 ohm in bridged mode. It is okay at low volume but the amp clips at higher volume.

My rear speakers are Sony 6X9 Coaxials and two way co-axs at fromt. HU is sony CDX-GT460US.

My questions are -
1) Will a 300W RMS amp provide substantial increase in the max volume and SQ of my sub.

2) If yes then please suggest a good 300W amp under 10K (B & W preferred).

3)What is the difference in power rating of amp at 2 ohm and 4 ohm and which one should I consider relevant ??
