From my drives on the highway, i can tell you that the NHC doesn't feel underpowered at all. But, at the same time, don't expect hiper performance.

It's bottom end torque and a low drag coefficient compensates it's lack of out right power. It's rollon figures are better than the old city.

The NHC will hit 100kmph in 13.9 secs. Lets compare this to the competition.
Ford Ikon 1.6 - 13.7
Accent GLS - 13.7
Accent crdi - 13.4
Opel Corsa 1.6 - 14.3
Mitsubishi Lancer - 13.7
Fiat Sienna - 13.1
Old Honda City 1.5 - 12.1

Some top speed figures :
NHC - 171
Ikon 1.6 - 170
Accent GLS - 170.6
Opel Corsa 1.6 - 170
Fiat Sienna - 176
Mitsubishi Lancer - 168.1
Old Honda City 1.5 - 171

I'd really love to see a straight line drag between the NHC, Ikon 1.6 Accent crdi, Accent Viva (Petrol) and the Mitsubishi Lancer Sfxi. That should settle everything.

The NHC is pretty capable in a straight line but, don't try taking hard turns unless you have considerable amount of rubber. The stock 175mm tyres make the car understeer a lot. This is where the NHC loses out.

For normal highway use, i don't see why the NHC should be a pain.
