Polk MRP is pretty steep for what it offers. What have you finalized? Link me if you have posted regarding this somewhere else. |
souljah...i havent finalized on the ICE setup yet, but polk seems to be one of the few brands that make 5x7 components and coaxials. yes it did seem a tad overpriced, but what other options do i have ? i'm lookin for a stealth install in the door pods.
another brand is boston, and it sounded pretty good too. as you've seen, i have a JBL setup in my scorpio, and i'm a little wary of JBL. not that they sound bad, but their build quality is a little delicate. if you install them flat (horizontally) they are ok, but if you install them vertically, the plastic hinges just snap...all the grills on my scorpio are now off..and i even blew my JBL 6x9's running off the JBL 75.4 amp. only my front compos are working now. need to get a new set of 6x9 coaxs for the back now. besides, JBL doesn't have 5x7 coaxials AFAIK.
let me know...would love some input on ICE before i spend the $$$s. maybe i should start a new thread in the ICE section ??
