No pets but family iraghava - but i went through a excruciating decision making process before deciding to settle on the Combi. We had also been liking the concept of a station wagon and had considered Baleno Altura a while ago till we learnt they discontinued.
Combi is certainly not cheap by any standards, but I loved the Skoda drive and did not mind a lower resale value (rather do not intend to sell it!).
