1. Via calicut route may not be the right option for you. I would suggest you take the Mysore-Gudalore-Nilambur-Pattambi-Kunnamkulam-Guruvayoor route. Roads are decent. You can return the same route. Calicut route is so boring and tiring.
2. This route might take you around 10 hours, if you drive at recent speeds (wherever you can
)
3. Spend 1-2 days? Go west and hit the beaches (in and around Chavakkad).
