Humyum - Maintainance of both the cars will be almost the same. Esteem might be slightly cheaper to maintain but MSIL has discontinued the Esteem so spares can be a problem later on(much later though, in the near future there should not be any problem)

But even with slightly higher spares for the Swift vis-a-vis the Esteem, the FE of the diesel will make the cost of ownership much much lesser.
