Your 600W RMS is for all the channels. I would expect your main speakers to be of 100W RMS each for stereo.
Yes, wou can switch between speakers. But I am curious to know what home theater speakers you are using for movies.
As for models, you have many many. If you want Indian ones, try ProFX. They have good floor standing speakers. I have checked out Sonodyne and found them to be decent as well. But it depends on what kind of music you listen to, audition with those CDs, feel the sound stage playing just stereo without subwoofer and choose.
