Some of you may remember the
2007 edition of the Blind Man Car Rally (Charitable cause: Blind Man Car Rally 2007 MUMBAI Report 11th Feb (Chennai 18th Feb)). Well, its time to start preparing for the 2008 event that is to be held on the 10th of February, 2008 (Sunday) in Mumbai. From this one event alone, about Rs.13,00,000 (Rupees Thirteen lakh) should be donated toward charity.
A brief introduction:
- The Blindman Car Rally 2008 is a charitable cause, organised by the Indian Automotive Racing Club (IARC), Bombay Round Table 2 and the National Association for the Blind. The event with start at 7:30 a.m. (on 10/02/2008), and is expected to end by 2:30 p.m.
- It is going to be a Time-Speed-Distance event (No racing). You are NOT permitted to exceed a speed of 45 kph.
- You are expected to get, and will drive your own car. The distance covered will be approximately 50 kms.
- A visually-impaired person will be your navigator.
- A maximum of 4 persons are allowed in each car (including the navigator). The Cost of entry per car is Rs. 1,200.

About the Round Table India:
