Team Amaron wishes to announce the Amaron Scholarship Programme shoot out for budding race drivers on the 3rd of February 2008 at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore at 9 a.m.
The Amaron scholarship racing programme is a unique programme sponsored by Amaron and run by Meco Motorsports Pvt. Ltd under the supervision of Akbar Ebrahim and Armaan Ebrahim, India’s hottest racing star.
The shoot out is a 1 day programme to be held at the KMS track. As per the number of points awarded, the top 2 drivers selected from the shoot out will get a fully paid drive (except Travel, Boarding and Lodging for the races) in the Formula Rolon class (16-21 years) and the 3rd & 4th placed drivers will get a fully paid drive (except Travel, Boarding and Lodging for the races) in the Formula LGB Swift class (15-19 years) in the JK Tyre National Racing Championship 2008.
The selected drivers will be offered a seat in the Team Amaron cars which will be run by Meco Motorsports.
The drivers will be put through their paces in the morning and will then be judged by 4 instructors in the afternoon. Those interested in taking part in this shoot out should register latest by 29th January 2008 midnight by sending individual mails at the following ID;

The first 30 entries will be eligible to participate in the shoot out. You will be receiving a confirmation mail by 30th January 2008 on your participation in the shoot out. Decision by Team Amaron is final and binding in this regard. The entry fee for the shoot out is Rs 2000 per person. DD will have to be issued in the name of Amara Raja Batteries Ltd and can be handed over at the track on 3rd of Feb 2008. Cash payments will also be accepted and a receipt for the same will be provided.
The selected driver’s names will be announced on 3rd Feb 2008 evening and will have to sign a contract with Team Amaron and Meco Motorsports Pvt. Ltd. In case, any one of the selected drivers do not sign the contract, the 1st standby will be given the opportunity to sign the contract.
The selected drivers will come under the wing of Akbar Ebrahim under Amaron Racing Academy. The selected drivers will be briefed by Akbar Ebrahim about the plans for 2008 season.
