Petrol vs Diesel -

i wouldnt take the petrol over the diesel.

the vibrations in both the engines are about the same. the gearshift is a little smoother in the petrol. the noise in the diesel is slightly more. not to say the petrol is as silent as maybe the corollas because the petrol engine is slightly loud for a petrol. the only time youd find a significant difference is when cruising at speeds of over 120kmph.

the fun to drive factor is subjective. id rate both equal but they are different. the petrol has more power and the diesel has more torque. so id say the diesel is easier to drive and it could be said that it is more fun to drive.

the fe in the diesel is about 10 in the city and 14-16 on highways whereas the petrol is 6-7 in the city and 9-11 on the highways. the diesel obviously wins here.

put the petes box in the diesel and without a doubt the diesel wins hands down. it can cruise at 140kmph and beat quite a few sedans to 100kmph (with petes box) and even the petrol innova.

7 vs 8 seater

if your not going to use 8 seats then its no point. the 7 seaters captain chairs are more comfortable than the bench.

the 7 seater is cheaper.

if registering from a company the 8 seater would need yellow plates.

the road tax is probably more on the 8 seater.
