when i was a student in DK district, we used to drive every weekend to kundapur, udupi,karkala, chikmagalur,coorg,kudremukh, the list is endless. best fun ever.
used to do this in a 5 speed MPFI 800 putting out 45bhp I think. I used to go the day after rains so that I could drift on the mud that had been washed onto the road.
I have a feeling the best drives in south india are in the western ghats.
